(This was supposed to be my first entry, but I only just discovered that I hadn’t posted it.)

1. Your definition of innovation, creativity and risk.

Innovation is the creation of something totally new, or the reinvention of something pre-existing to make it better. For something to be innovative it must be new and unique.

Creativity is using your imagination and taking inspiration from anything in your surrouindings to put your own spin and ideas into something.

Risk is the courage to put forward an idea even though it may get shot down. You need to take risks to succeed.

2. What would you like to achieve in this subject? Any suggestions for what you would like included?

I would like to learn how to expand my creativity in this subject, to hopefully be able to create something interesting. I want to get a good mark, and develop a contact in the industry, through the feedback on our essays.

I don’t have any suggestions for the class, because its been good so far.

3. Find three blogs that you find relevant to your personal interests.

Pandora: A fantastic fashion blog, mainly of photos from style shoots from a girl in France. The clothes and photos shown in the blog are always stunning. www.misspandora.fr

Mooz FM: A radio blog site which plays different genres of music- Accoustic, jazz, pop, soul, world, indie, folk etc. All my favourites! www.moozfm.com

Writing on a chalkboard: This blog is written by a local teenager who loves all thing music and theatre. It is a great blog with reviews, discussions, updates on current issues in the world of music and theartre in melbourne, and lots of other random extras. www.writingonachalkboard.wordpress.com

What type of practitioner are you?

I am currently not a practitioner of anything, because I want to learn before I can be or do anything successfully. My biggest interests are based around art and music, and I hope to be able to use them for my future career.

I can sing, and perform, but I don’t very much. I can draw, and I especially love drawing portraits. I can’t act very well, I don’t think, even though I’ve tried. I compose, although it’s very small pieces so far, that have all been unremarkable and unsuccessful. However, I will keep trying until I create something amazing.

What type do you aspire to be?

My ultimate career would be music. I would love to somehow become a composer for film/TV or gaming, or anything in that type of field. I particularly like the idea of screen composition because I am able to enhance someone elses ideas and creativity into a fantastic finished project. It would be an amazing experience to hear my creations come to life in tandem with someone else’s amazing screen creation.

What themes are you into?

I’m still not sure exactly why it is called ‘themes’, but here goes:

  1. Music– particularly singing as part of a group, cello & guitar, and compsing.
  2. Art– Drawing peoples portraits. I’m so far rubbish at painting, but that doesn’t stop me trying!
  3. Writing– I’m not much of a writer, but I love writing Blog and diary entries because I can write however I like.
  4. Friends– I always have a small group of close friends rather then a hundred acquaintences.
  5. Decorating– Since I’ve recently moved out of home for the first time, I have become obsessed with wanting to decorate my room and future house with my own random style.
  6. Photography– I have wanted to snap the perfect picture ever since I first picked up a camera.
  7. Gaming– I confess, I have been slowly drawn into the world of nerds by my boyfriend and other friends over the last few years.
  8. Movies– I will forever be in love with movies, and always looking for a new amazing film. I would also love any recommendations.
  9. Other favourites of mine include: Good food & wine, almonds, fashion, dark peppermint chocolate, nature, books, bright colours, animals, Charmed, hats, scarves and jewellery.

Also, I am a cat person, I hate cordial and jelly, Justin Vernon is an incredible musician, and Harry Potter will always be more amazing then Twilight.
